Hi there, and welcome to my website!
I’m Mathieu Bourret Soto, a last-year PhD student at Bordeaux School of Economics (University of Bordeaux). My doctoral research examines the political economy of conflict and peacebuilding, using empirical methods to analyze the causes and consequences of violence in Latin America. I’m also interested in climate change adaptation, using a more interdisciplinary lens. From March to July 2025, I was a visiting scholar at NOVAFRICA (Nova SBE).
Feel free to check out my work, happy to chat about it anytime!
